Awesome day.
Today was ACE day! The day started off with sexuality education, with Mr Tan. I have to admit, the lesson was really, very interesting. Mr Tan was very expressive, thus making the lesson more attractive. In the past, most sexuality education teachers were monotonous, makes me want to sleep.. I learned a lot, definitely. It was a quick, but everything was clearly explained. No problems at all.
Next was an inspirational talk by Mrs Tan. I find it rather amusing. It was the first time I heard Mrs Tan's voice sounded like a kindergarten teacher. All the tortoise and hare stories were really creative and logical. It was alright though, gets boring sometimes.
Next up was a visit to Yishun Junior College. To be honest, it seems that a JC is just an upgraded version of the secondary school. The school was just alright, everything seems rather old but it's alright. The tour around the school wasn't that fascinating, everything seems so typical. Classrooms, halls, facilities and more. Just that there are more added facilities that government schools don't have. I'm definitely not heading into the JC. I find the Polytechnic way more fun and exciting than JC. Poly it is!
Went to school and tried on the new ACE day T-Shirt. It fit perfectly, just that my nipples are visible. I wasn't afraid to show it though, no idea why. Probably used to it. Headed for Kallang River, where we'll do Dragon Boating. It's been years since I did it, kinda nostalgic. It was so fun, splashing water at opposing boats, screaming and so much more. I really loved the activity and I do wish to do it again! Haha. Also, I missed being sun-tanned. Haha.
Well, I'm done for today.
Thanks for visiting and may God bless you!

I can't think of a title for today..
School started really late today, at 12.30 pm. It was because of some Parent-Teacher conference. I couldn't receive my report book today because my mother was busy at work. I had to stay back till 6.30 pm, for God-knows-what-reason! And of course, we had to control ourselves from laughter, because many of our friends' parents came! Yeah, my class' tradition, calling parents' names!
I was pretty annoyed. It was peak hours, and the buses will be packed with adults going back home from work. Somehow, 139 wasn't packed at all. I was just standing at the empty areas of the bus. All seats were taken but it wasn't crowded. I reached Little India, and suddenly, an empty 131 bus arrived! I was so elated! Normally, 131 will be fully packed! But lucky me, I can sit down and enjoy the air-conditioning. Man, if this happens everyday, I don't mind going home late. It's usually because of this that I hate going home late..

June.
June.
Holidays.
Are over. (Already?)
Yeah, the June holidays holds no meaning to us, O level candidates anymore. We must endure for 4 more excruciating months. Honestly, I would prefer that school resumes for us, rather than making everything so complicated. There are some re-sit examinations for me, which is good.. More examination practice is always good.. But I hope it's not the same paper as Mid-Year's, totally defeats the purpose.
Today. Was. Fun.
'cept for PE.
Since it's the last PE lesson for the term, we should have some fun, but instead, I had to complete a 2.4 km run which I clearly have no hope in. I passed only 4 stations, with Pull-Ups the only station I failed. As you all know, once you failed just 1 station, it's over. Hey, if I passed my Pull-Ups, I would most definitely run with all my strength, I'll run till I become breathless, serious. In the end, I was just walking and running at a slow pace. After the run, I went back to the arena and played some Badminton.
The rest of the day was just slacking. The last three periods (CD and Physics) were taken over by Chinese. The Chinese students had to take their examinations in early June. So me, Chungaik, Jerome and Taj went to library only to discover that it was closed.. Oh well. We headed for the banding room, shared some dirty thoughts and listened to music. Time was passing by really quick as we chat. I was surprised, haha.
I have no idea how my face is in the people's view. All I can do is look at myself in the mirror, and I do look normal. Now, why is it people kept staring at me? Lol. In the bus especially, that's why I've been sitting in the seat near the driver. People usually don't sit there, because whenever a collision or crash occur, you might be the first commuter in the bus to get hurt. I noticed Singaporeans tend to get paranoia very easily.. Well, me too. :D
Jerome told me that there's a new case of H1N1 in Singapore. I was shocked, in all directions. It was 23 year old lady who came back from the USA, and had a fever and other symptoms. I hope that the people are still paranoid, just because the flu alert was lowered doesn't mean that the virus is decimated. GUYS, please take care of yourselves.
And that's all I have to type for today :D

WHY?
These days.. seemed really dull.
The people around me.. well.. are getting on my nerves. I didn't want to show my anger, because that's really unlike me. I simply fucking hate it when people spread unnecessary rumors around the class. I hate it even more when my own friends are doing it to me. It just hurts to see friends disturbing you like that. Yep, to them it may seem as a joke. But have you ever spare a thought for me? How I was going through that time when I got bombarded by rumors I didn't want to hear anymore, which were 2 weeks old.
Well, I don't really care anymore. If I have to take it like a wall, I very well shall do so. I simply hate disputes between friends, hate it. I have tolerance, fortunately.
I'm just feeling.. well.. a little lonely.
I had fun after school today! Me, Chungaik and Jerome were supposed to attend English AP but the AVA room was occupied. We played around, with Chungaik pulling Jerome's right leg and me struggling to pull his other leg, but failed miserably. IT MAY BE CHILDISH, but if it makes one happy, it isn't a bad thing! There is nothing wrong being childish. Excessively childish, maybe bad. It's probably one of the better days I had for this month.
Well.. That's all for today.
Be compassionate. Don't be a prick.

Feeling this.
Well, today was a sad, sad day. Very sad indeed.
To put it abruptly, I failed all my examinations for Mid-Year. Serious, even English. Now I'm just plain depressed. The wake up call from Mr Chan today was definitely a necessity. I could put myself in the teacher's shoes, teach for nearly half a year and my students getting crappy results, I would wreak havoc and turn the classroom upside down too. I wasn't overjoyed with my results, unlike some people. I mean.. How can someone be overjoyed after failing all his/her examinations?
4 more months, is what the teachers said. 4 months, to create a miracle or just lose all hope. I'm definitely gonna create a miracle, I just can't take a second look at my bad results. It's an insult to me, especially English. I have to admit, the class is at a pretty bad state. Hardly no one passed English. Probably one or two passed Combined Science and Maths. Combined Humanities would probably have one or two as well. D&T/POA should be alright. In this state, we would all graduate to ITE.
Whatever it is.. We should not give up. These are just the appetizers. Next up are the preliminaries. It would be way harder than the Mid Year examinations.
To the sad faces of today. Please don't lose hope yet! We got back our papers, we know our mistakes, we shall just rectify them and not commit them again! We can make it, man. Study hard and play hard. Do not give up, people!
I would start studying in the libraries.. Studying at home.. Nah. Computer's a distraction, and furthermore, I do not have a proper table for studying.
Well, I gotta go.
Thanks for visiting and may God bless you!

Update!
My first update on May.. Well, it's not like me to update less nowadays.
Anyway, I just want to mention that.. April was a fucked up month, really. Firstly, I had an irritating flu which lasted for like, 2 weeks. Then on my first trip to Cyrus LAN shop in River Valley, I fell down on the "steps" of the VIP room entrance. It wasn't steps, it was A step. That's when I got the bandage round my leg. Till then, life's been hard. Bathing was harder than usual, keeping the bandage free from water was hard. I had to tie a plastic bag around it, but it always never seem to work, it just kept loosening. After 4 days, I finally removed it and felt a little better. It still hurts until now, on the ankle areas but I can run normally now. I still had my flu and came the dreaded, swine flu. It wasn't some ordinary flu, it was something like SARS but symptoms of swine flu aren't easy to spot and could lead to death. I had paranoia, because I had a flu and cough. Just before April ended, I recovered from my flu and cough. Things in Singapore were starting to shake up.
When April ended, I prayed that May would be a better month for all of us in Singapore. Unexpectedly, things went well. Swine flu's status changed from orange to yellow, Mas Selamat's been caught yesterday. Everything went well, except for the examinations.
I have one more paper left, which is D&T, and after that, I have to prepare for Boon Keat's birthday chalet which will take up the marking day too. I'm starting to relax now, but not too long. I have received 4 papers today. Sadly enough, I only passed one of them. I failed my English summary, as usual, 11/25. Not a bad mark in my opinion considering that I gotten single digits for my past summary tests. Just gotta improve on paraphrasing and open my eyes for extra points. I failed both my Chemistry and Physics MCQ papers. It was really disheartening.. But the teachers didn't gave up on us, they said that we just gotta work extra harder for the preliminaries (if there is one) and O levels. In the past, teachers would just sulk at the class for getting such a low average mark.
The only paper I passed was the Physics practical, 10/15. Mr Chan said that students who scored 10 or below isn't enough. I agree though, because the paper alone is easy enough to get you full marks. Likewise for Chemistry. I'll just have to work on my differences between mm and cm, man, I suck at those.
A spoiler for those who did not attend school today. Mr Kung gave the class (5B) a Paper 1 Maths topical paper, inclusive of the answer sheet. He mentioned that the class REALLY needs ample practice, and said it in a really disappointed tone. It seemed to me that our class did badly for the Maths papers. Well, I just hope that he's not going to lecture us again, saying that we might go to ITE. We came to Secondary 5 for a reason, to move on into the Polytechnic/JC, not ITE. Encouragements raises the class' morale, so I just hope the teachers won't give up on us. It's just way too early to foresee results.
13 people were absent today. The teachers described them as "students who doesn't care about their results". Go figure.
Well, I'm done for today.
Thanks for visiting and may God bless you!
